Marcus Brigstocke: Vitruvian Mango

Date:  19th Mar Start Time:  19:30
Categories:  Comedy Venue Address:  Bretforton Grange Theatre-barn, Main Street, Bretforton, Worcestershire

Evesham Live bring back Marcus Brigstocke…this time at the wonderful Theatrebarn at Bretforton.

What are men for? Most heavy things can be lifted by machines and most problems can be solved by computers and most puddles can be crossed without us gallantly draping our capes over them – so are we fellas of any use at all?

Award winning MAN Marcus Brigstocke thinks we might still serve some useful function. But what is it? This new tour show will resolve the entire issue once and for all (in a non-patriarchal, open minded, progressive sort of way).

DaVinci’s Vitruvian Man is the image of the ideal male form. Marcus’ Vitruvian Mango is the same, but sweeter, softer, seasonally available and, when ripe, delicately perfumed.

‘… charming, hilarious and utterly refreshing…’

Jim Davidson: Last Man Standing…..JUST!

Date:  25th Apr Start Time:  20:00
Date:  26th Apr Start Time:  17:00
Date:  26th Apr Start Time:  20:00
Categories:  Comedy Venue Address:  Evesham Town hall 24 Vine Street Evesham

Jim’s back on his annual trip to Evesham Town Hall………and this year he’s doing 3 shows due to ever increasing demand!

In the ever-evolving book of British comedy, Jim Davidson OBE remains a best-seller, an unapologetic voice still standing tall while others bow to the tide. Through decades of laughter, controversy, and cultural change, he’s held the line. And now, in 2025, he’s back with a brand-new tour ‘Last Man Standing … Just!’ and firing on all cylinders and refusing to be silenced.

Despite the relentless efforts of a vocal woke minority to pen his final chapter, Jim’s story is far from over. Shadow-banned, de-platformed, and ‘cancelled’ more times than he can count, Davidson has turned adversity into ammunition, his live shows becoming safe havens for those who still believe in common sense, satire, and the best of British comedy.

Jim’s 2025 UK tour, The Next Chapter proved that the appetite for unfiltered, grown-up laughter is alive and well, with the General receiving standing ovations from Glasgow to Southend from loyal and new fans alike, many who feel silenced themselves. Jim’s audience loyal packed venues across the UK, cheering not just the punchlines but the principles behind them

Now, as Britain stands at a cultural crossroads, Davidson returns to do what he does best: say what others are thinking, with razor-sharp wit and bulletproof timing. It’s time to reset. To push back. To laugh again without fear.

Jim invites you to join him once again for a riotous evening where freedom of speech takes centre stage, comedy bites back, and the battle for Britain’s comedic soul rages on. He’s survived the storms, stood firm in the face of censorship, and he’s still here!

Oh, and yes—he’s got another wedding to pay for.

Celebrating 100 years of Laurel & Hardy – The Centenary Tour 2026

Date:  3rd May Start Time:  15:00
Categories:  Family, comedy, music Venue Address:  Evesham Town Hall 24 Vine Street Evesham

Following the success of his 2023/24 tour, Neil Brand invites you to celebrate the centenary of Laurel and Hardy with a brand-new show. In 1926, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy signed separate contracts with Hollywood film mogul Hal Roach, and appeared for the first time in a film together, “45 Minutes from Hollywood”. The following year they would become an official comedy partnership that would set the whole world rocking with laughter. Nobody could have anticipated at the time how this unlikely Anglo/American comedy duo would become global icons in over 130 countries around the world.

We are pleased to announce and celebrate those 100 years with the brand new production of Neil Brand’s “Evening with Laurel & Hardy” 2026 Centenary Tour. Neil has established himself as the foremost exponent of silent film and improvised piano accompaniment.

Thanks to new restorations of their silent films, and the rediscovery of some of their lesser-known comedies, Neil will uncover gems of hilarity from the team whose comedy never ages, and bring them to jaw-dropping life with the demanding live piano improvisations for which he is so famous. Featuring extended scenes from the best of their silent comedies, particularly You’re Darn Tootin, The Finishing Touch and The Second Hundred Years.

Neil’s concerts have proved really popular with his personal contact with the audience & his unique insight into Laurel & Hardy and the birth of the cinema industry. His engaging easy-going style, along with his Q&A at the end of the show answering all the questions from the audience, followed by his after-show ‘Meet and Greet’, makes for a highly entertaining evening.

Currently working on a television documentary and a new book about ‘The Boys’, Neil is once again looking forward to sharing his knowledge and expertise with audiences around the country, and celebrating the life and times of comedy legends, Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy.
