Alistair has written poetry since he was 19. He has played the piano in public since 2018.
He has never combined the two. Has anyone …?

In this possible world first, he hopes to bring out the music of his poetry (due to be published on June 12th 2024) and the poetry of the music.
His 10 short piano choices will include compositions by Debussy, Satie, Grieg, Glass, Chopin and Elgar.
It promises to be a very varied and soulful hour – no doubt with a few of his trademark impressions thrown in too ! Something for (almost) everyone. May contain puns.

Evesham-born Alistair is best known for his uncanny impressions and won a BAFTA for his hugely popular television series, “The Big Impression”, in 2003.
He has also worked as an actor regularly on radio, occasionally on television and nationwide on stage (being nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’).
In 2015, he threw himself into learning the piano from almost a standing start and, in 2017, released ‘The Piano Album’ through Sony Classical reaching number one in the classical charts.

He has since toured with ‘The Piano Show’ the first known show to mix stand-up comedy with classical piano music.

In 2023, he set up the first Ludlow Piano Festival – 5 days of piano events. The 2024 festival will run in Ludlow from May 22nd-26th.

His poetry collection, ‘Not What We Were Expecting’, will be released in June 2024.

Please note this performance will be of one hour duration with no interval.
